Frequently Asked Questions
You should always attend the trial nearest to where you live. This is very important, as the scouts that attend our trials are from clubs that are located, or have development centres, within 90 minutes travelling distance of the event location. This is so that we can comply with FA rules in regards to how far players can travel to train with a professional club. If you are outside this distance, it is unlikely that a scout would be able to progress you, even if they like you as a player. However, you are still welcome to attend for experience, and to get feedback on your game.
All the clubs that we work with require players to be resident in the UK with a UK or EU passport, or have a VISA with indefinite leave to remain in the UK. If you live outside the UK but are visiting the country, you can still book onto a trial, but please be aware that this would be for experience only, as it is unlikely that you'd be able to be scouted as you are not resident in the UK. We are always looking in to new locations, but currently we host trials in the following areas: Manchester, Liverpool, Flint, Leeds, Durham, Derby, Birmingham, Cambridge, Harrow & Northolt, Grays. Each venue covers clubs and players from up to 90 minutes travelling distance. Further details for all our currently used venues can be viewed under the Directions to Pro11 Venues tab.
We offer open trials which means there is no pre-screening process. Whether you've played grassroots, JPL, academy, or county level football, if you're a standout player in your environment, our trials are for you. Ages typically range from 7 to 16 (U8–U16) and also Open Age (U16–U21). For event dates, see our calendar.
Yes! We run dedicated GK sessions with specialist coaches, followed by integration into your age group's match. GK scouts also attend our events.
Clubs vary per event but generally include a range from Premier League to non-league academies, within 90 mins of the location. We usually host 6–12 clubs per trial. Open Age events also include agents and educational pathway representatives.
Yes! Trials are open to all genders. Female players will play in mixed groups (up to U18) and can be referred to girls’ teams or ETCs/RTCs by scouts and coaches in attendance. For over-18s, we’re working on future opportunities.
Prices range from £70 to £84 depending on location/type. Discounts are available for returning players, siblings, or group bookings. We also offer a Hardship Scheme for players unable to pay.
Around 1 in 3 players are scouted at Pro11 trials, but we cannot guarantee outcomes. Everyone receives exposure, coaching, and feedback.
You’ll be notified at the event and via email. We connect you directly with the scout who’ll guide the next steps, from additional observation to direct club trials.
Trials are still a valuable learning experience. Not getting scouted doesn’t mean you’re not good enough—it might just not have been your day. Keep improving, take feedback seriously, and don’t give up.
